Pelikan Hardcopy has its roots in Hanover, Germany, where the Pelikan company was founded as early as 1838.

In 1878 the Pelikan brand name was registered and the company began to develop, produce and distribute a variety of items intended for the writing and drawing market. Since then the company has grown along with the times.

In 1995 Pelikan Hardcopy, a company focussed on manufacturing high quality printer consumables for office and industry, emerged from the traditional Pelikan Holding AG via a merger with Nukote/USA. After a management buyout in 1999 Pelikan Hardcopy became today’s “Pelikan Hardcopy International Ltd”, working successfully worldwide as a global player providing printer supplies.

Pelikan Hardcopy Production AG, Technology Center, is one of the largest independent companies of printing supplies in Europe and is proud of its long experience in development and production of innovative, low-cost printer consumables. The brand is well established in the market and stands for the quality of a large range of toner, inkjet, thermal transfer rolls and impact products.

The headquarter of Pelikan Hardcopy Production AG's Technology Center is located at Egg near Zurich (Switzerland) and employs about 1,000 people worldwide. Within the space of a few years Pelikan Hardcopy Production AG has developed into an internationally recognized leader for printer accessories in the compatible market.
